Understated Chic

Le Méridien Vienna is the city’s LGBT heart. Your gay hotel in Vienna is located right in the center, in the triangle between the gay scene neighborhood (Naschmarkt/Mariahilfer Strasse) and icons of the city’s nightlife such as Kaiserbründl and Motto. So it was natural that the city’s most stylish celebration of life, the Life Ball, selected Le Méridien Vienna as partner. Other events too like Fête Blanche, Style Up Your Life, Rosenball, The Circus and OMG celebrate at Vienna’s gay hotel.

Shopping

Well-traveled, well-dressed: Le Méridien Vienna is situated on the meridian of the exquisite. Mariahilfer Strasse is within easy walking distance. The flagship stores of grand brands lay at anchor on Kärntnerstrasse (4 minutes away), Graben, Kohlmarkt and Tuchlauben: Armani, Boss, Cartier, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada. Amicis also offers major brands, as does Steffl, the shopping heaven of the Viennese. Naschmarkt: the finest for the palate and Saturday morning flea market. Design & art in districts 4-8.

Vienna Pride

Rainbow Parade and Christopher Street Day At the loveliest time of the year Vienna closes off the Ringstrasse for the LGBT community. Everyone is there. It is our celebration of love and tolerance. Grab a vibrant piece of life! NYC has Christopher Street Day, we have Vienna Pride. For a whole week all the city’s trams sport the rainbow flag. We love love – visible, joyful and with equal rights. The Ring dances for the Rainbow Parade: 7 seconds from your room to the music.

Gay Marriage - Tears of joy

Exchange rings on the Ring: sophisticated, detail-studded, and staged with LOVE. Wedding/partnering – tell us yours dreams, we will make them come true.
At the hotel in Vienna’s epicenter we mix tradition and eccentricity, art and kitsch, rainbow and white. Whether Rolls Royce or horse-drawn carriage. The cake as a sweet statement. We love planning – and especially staging – weddings – your tears of joy!

You can even get legally married INSIDE the Le Méridien Vienna! Go to www.wien.gv.at/ for further information on the procedure.

How To Get Here

Unable to find directions, please try again.

Café Berg

A fantastic second breakfast, a café for whiling away the afternoon. For seeing and being seen – perfect when glancing over the international newspapers and magazines. Close to the university, you are in high-brow surroundings. Freud is near.

Café Savoy

Vienna’s gayest coffee house in imperial chic. A few minutes’ stroll through the lively Naschmarkt open-air market and you are there. The only match for the café’s enormous mirrors: Versailles. Details with history – for example, Egyptian figures from Nureyev’s bedroom!

Fett + Zucker

Vienna’s gayest coffee house in imperial chic. A few minutes’ stroll through the lively Naschmarkt open-air market and you are there. The only match for the café’s enormous mirrors: Versailles. Details with history – for example, Egyptian figures from Nureyev’s bedroom!

Heaven at Heaven

Austria’s drag-queen icon, Miss Candy, propels party people through the night: The clubs that take place at changing locations are a favorite with LGBTs and their friends.

Lutz

Bar and club rolled into one, is located on Mariahilfer Strasse, only a few minutes by foot from Le Méridien Vienna. Here gay & straight coexist in harmony and enjoy the chic, urbane atmosphere.

Motto

True, the Motto is Vanity Fair, but it is still the chicest place to meet and rich in tradition to boot. Here beautiful people serve exquisite drinks, and DJs lay on hot beats for cosmopolitan guests. The Halle in the Museumsquartier and Motto am Fluss are stylish siblings.

Santo Spirito

Enchants with ancient music in historic surroundings: good wine and an atmosphere of opulence.

The Up! Club

The Up! Club is a hotspot for gays. Keep an eye on the calendar of special events! The same goes for The Circus and the Cage Club

Why not?

Why Not Over the decades generations of gays and lesbians have danced at Why Not. On Fridays and Saturdays the atmosphere at this fantastic discotheque in Vienna’s old center is exuberant and the ambiance intimate.
